Pay it Forward

We have benefited from the learnings of other parents and professionals who have gone before us. We thought we should pay it forward, not only with transparent stories, but also with a portion of the proceeds from this book going toward nonprofit organizations that bring to life new information on all types of families, including the following:

Council on Contemporary Families: A committed group of researchers and clinicians who work to bring research and experiences about the diversity of families to public conversation; and to use that expertise in the service of all kinds of American families.

National At-Home Dad Network: Providing support, education, and advocacy for fathers who are the primary caregivers of their children.

Other notable organizations and resources in work-family space:

United We Parent: A relatively new organization designed to unify, strengthen, and inform the parenting community!

Lean in Circles: LeanIn.org helps women connect with peers and organizations to take the lead and counteract gender bias. The site provides support for both men and women to #leanintogether.

COURAGEworks: an online learning community developed to bring Brené Brown's research on courage, vulnerability, shame, and empathy to a global audience. Brown wrote The Gifts of Imperfect Parenting, and there is corresponding course on that site under the Kitchen Collection.
